Artist review

Trained in architecture at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin and in art at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation in Sao Paulo. His works commemorate ancestral Colombia and evoke moments of sociopolitical crisis that invite reflection on violence through elements that evidence what has been lived. He uses geometry as an instrument for exploring territory and geography. He has received awards and mentions such as: Ephemeral Art Award from the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín and was commissioned to make the sculpture for the terrace of the MAMM. Honorable mention of the Salón de Arte Joven (Bogotá) and third finalist for the monumental sculpture prize in the 50 years of the University of Antioquia. Selected for the representation of Arco Colombia in Madrid by the curator Juan Gaitán. He obtained the honorable mention of the Salón de arte joven of Bogotá. He was at the 39th and 40th Annual Art FAAP Cité des Arts, Student Exchange Residency. Alvares Penteado Foundation, São Paulo. His work is amongst collections such Sura, Luis Ángel Arango Library, Argos, Medellín Museum of Modern Art, Antioquia Museum, Celsia, Museo del Banco de la República de Colombia and other institutions.

Pedro's aesthetic research focuses on a constant dialogue between himself and painting, which is nourished by personal experiences, ideas and reflections on his surroundings. Pedro is a master in plastic arts from the Universidad de los Andes in 2020, his graduate work received an honorable mention and was exhibited in the project room of the Universidad de los Andes in 2019, he was part of the 2020 edition of the Artecamara program within the framework of the ArtBO fair, curated by Emiliano Valdés, entitled "Antes que todo sea polvo"

Catalina Jaramillo Quijano's work starts from drawing to investigate the fields of autobiography, contemplation, as well as art and literature. Her projects are usually composed of multiple elements including experiences, world views and states of the soul with constant references to literature, language and irony, using tools such as drawing, printmaking, writing and installation. Catalina Jaramillo Quijano is an artist from the National University of Colombia. She has received several scholarships and awards, among them the first prize in the Salón Cano, second place in the Concurso de Arte Joven, Embassy of Spain - Colsanitas and the Escuela Flora, Flora ars+natura’s scholarship. She has also been awarded with artistic residences in institutions such as El Ranchito, Matadero Madrid, the Pivô Pesquisa program and the FAAP artistic residence. She has exhibited individually at Museo La Tertulia (Cali), Galería Policroma (Medellín), Galería Senda (Barcelona), Galería Jenny Vilà (Cali), Espacio Odeón (Bogotá) and Galería Sextante (Bogotá); Collectively, she has exhibited in spaces such as Casa de América, Museo Banco de la República, Salón Nacional de Artistas and Mana Wynwood, among others.
