The Gallery at Cinemateca de Bogotá presents "Light Mirror" in association with Proimágenes Colombia, an interactive exhibition that showcases the way in which cinema has shaped the country's identity and its influence in culture, society and politics for the last 20 years. Sala E exhibits the results of the laboratory Audiovisual Arts in Dance with Virtual Reality, a project that won the Portafolio Distrital de Estímulos in 2023.
La Cinemateca de Bogotá cuenta con la Galería y la Sala E, dos espacios para exhibición y circulación de proyectos curatoriales temporales alrededor del cine, el audiovisual, el sonido, los nuevos medios, las prácticas interdisciplinares y la realización de eventos en vivo. Han albergado exposiciones como ‘Bauhaus Reverberada’, el 45 Salón Nacional de Artistas, la retrospectiva de Ben Rivers ‘Bruma’, ‘Un Placer Incierto: Artes del tiempo en la colección Pierre Huber’ junto con el MAMBO, ‘Encuentros: Sarah Maldoror en América latina y el Caribe’ y ‘Dos Orillas’ de Paula Gaitán.
Artist, teacher and researcher in audiovisual arts focused on the use of technologies and new media, developing interactive projects using augmented reality tools, virtual reality, machine learning and big data in order to experiment and explore the possibilities and influence they have on us as individuals and as a society in an increasingly digital modernity. His interest is centered on the union between technology and art, joining dance and performance with motion capture for the generation of interactive visuals in order to explore the body and its movements in other media.
