sumergidos en el abismo

Submerged in the Abyss is a group of sixteen large-format paintings that should form a space when suspended, being the central work of an exhibition at the Sunshine Museum in Beijing that until now has been "suspended." In the Baobab gallery there is a double-height space in which three of these works are suspended from the ceiling, generating an approximation of what will be exhibited in China. 8 of these works were exhibited in Medellín, forming a zigzag route. The drowned blue of the paintings alludes to depths and the abyss.once the trip they are assumed as interior experiences. If the universe is enormous, it is necessary to descend into oneself, into the underbelly of intimacy. The depth of intimacy and everyday life is revealed. Perhaps we should seek relief from the desolation that Pascal expresses in the serene course of the days. to the awareness of the smallness and transience of man in the universe. "Who put me here? By whose order this time and this space have been destined for me."
