IMAGE ANALOGY. Miguel Böhmer presents an analogy made up of different marine figures. This analogy starts from a detailed work of pencil drawing based on the color theory of John Bacon (1872) where an analysis of the principles of contrast and harmony in the order of the spectrum is made. YOU WILL ARRIVE TO FORGET. Abraham Benjumea, is the second solo exhibition of the artist since his return to Colombia. The exhibition consists of a series of drawings and paintings that reflect his daily life and a constant search for balance between what he learned in the East and what now awaits him in the West.
SN maCarena is a project room that promotes regional, national and international artists who stand out for their rigor in the craft and excellence in the handling of technique. We work in alliance with universities, cultural institutions and galleries and we invite artists to investigate, experiment, challenge and even transgress the conventional limits of the trade. At SN maCarena we seek to create spaces not only for exhibition but also for production and exchange of knowledge around artistic production, art and culture.
Image analogy. Miguel Böhmer presents an analogy constituted by different marine figures based on the color theory of John Bacon (1872) where an analysis of the principles of contrast and harmony in the order of the spectrum is made. Miguel Böhmer was interested in natural sciences from the beginning of his career. He made a first approach to the taxonomic image of Ammonites Humpresianus, as a student of Fine Arts at the University of the Andes, one of his first paintings that does not exist today. The look at the animal kingdom has been a constant in Böhmer's work, he has dedicated himself to interpreting the marine fauna in his drawings, through the sensuality of the line and his taste for color.

"You will arrive to forget." It is Abraham Benjumea's second solo exhibition since his return to Colombia. The exhibition consists of a series of drawings and paintings that reflect his daily life and a constant search for balance between what he learned in the East and what now awaits him in the West. His main interests revolve around inculturation processes and day-to-day life. Likewise, the city and its waste are key sources of his creative process, providing not only materials but also images that can later be seen reproduced in his work.
