Projects Bank FUGA

The Project Bank of the FUGA Plastic and Visual Arts program is an initiative that is interested in the visibility and promotion of projects by emerging artists, as well as the circulation for artists with medium and long careers, providing citizens with access to our showrooms in a democratic and transparent way. Throughout the history of FUGA, the exhibition halls have become living scenarios destined for the development of processes of research, creation, management, circulation, production and exhibition of proposals of high artistic quality that emerge in contemporary times and that nourish the field of plastic and visual arts in the country; and at the same time they serve as spaces where different audiences, agents, academic, neighborhood, local, national and international communities converge and are included and integrated into the arts environment through the mediation processes carried out by the Institution.

Artist review

We are a duo of emerging artists who converge from diverse backgrounds to create, conspire and sustain ourselves in art. United by a joint desire, we have ventured into the intricate interweaving of bodily experience, where sensoryity and human interference prevail as a poetic experience, both personal and collective. Our curatorial proposal is a journey that invites you to explore spaces that often go unnoticed in conventional narrative. Where we immerse ourselves in the archive, in the transmutation of the image through matter, in the oceanic dust to draw the viewer's attention and thus address fundamental problems, in the present time, not only through visuality, but of smell and touch, to make Le Silence de la Mer an exhibition close to the bodily experience. We are inspired by nature as a fundamental axis and driving force of life and matter as a creative drive, where we recognize in art the power it has to address the problems that surround us, and express vital questions about life. Ultimately, we as a collective strive to reveal the layers of everyday life, memory, and the anecdotal, in order to give voice to our own narrative, which dialogues between various thoughts and techniques. We believe in the power of art to transform, to open eyes and to inspire change. With humility and passion, we delve into the unwritten pages of the body and territory, turning them into works that invite us to look beyond the surface and discover the depth of our human experience.

Artist review

We are a group of emerging artists from different disciplines, different ages and different origins, who have come together with a common purpose: to explore and question the connections that exist between the bodily experience in the territory, the body as a territory and memory as personal and collective poetic experience. Our artistic proposal is an invitation to explore the margins, to explore the spaces that often go unnoticed in conventional narrative. We immerse ourselves in the stories that lie at the bottom of the page, those that are on the periphery of official history but that, nevertheless, are fundamental to understanding our identity and our environment.
